OMB Valves SpA, Italy has today confirmed completion of the acquisition of BEL Valves S.r.l., the Milan, Italy operation of UK based BEL Valves Limited.

The company, its business, its assets and employees are now part the OMB Valves group, a diversified manufacturer of valves for the energy industries. Headquartered in Bergamo Italy, OMB is a family owned and operated group recognised globally as a manufacturer of forged steel valves. Its manufacturing operations in Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East are supported by a worldwide distribution network.

OMB announced its intention to purchase the business in March this year. Through the acquisition, the business will retain the use of the BEL Valves name for a period of one year, relating to the surface/onshore API 6D ball and gate valve soft seated products that the business has developed and currently sells.

BEL Valves Limited, part of UK based engineering group British Engines, will continue its manufacturing operations in the UK, focused primarily on its existing portfolio of high integrity valves and actuators for subsea, surface and onshore applications.
